not really... there are certain ones that are free so which of those are the best. I am not making a selection from all the plug ins- there is a restriction. if your gonna answer with a wise crack at least make sure it's correct. that wasn't really helpful at all so I don't appreciate it.
A lot of people here make light-hearted comments. While he was expressing an opinion, he was doing so tongue-in-cheek and you have to take it for that. A little thicker skin will get you a lot of extra miles.
some freebies are
mda pianos
and ones by 4front do a tacky free one but also offer a 10 day trial of their nice one truepianos check it out has some nice sound to it 130 Euros i think to buy but possibly worth it. im reluctant as of yet to buy anything till i have tested them all.
obviously there are the expensive ones to. but all for a reason.
i doubt you will find a free one with any comercial value but for back ground stabs and ones for parodies or p*** takes try the free ones i have mentione at KVR like the other guy said.
Pianos have to be sampled several times from angles to get the true feel an timbre from the instrument. any vst you can download easily won't have a decent set of samples lol. trust me i have been searching for ages.
i am struck by true pianos though impressive use of modelling and sampling combined
