To be honest you have a weak CPU so it probably cant handle so much going on. You said you removed every VST and froze the VSTi system, but still got a lot of compressor usage... doesnt this mean you didnt remove the compressors (which will eat CPU power).

I would start with everything bone dry as it was recorded. No FX sends, no inserts, remove everything - that means delete it not just turn it off. I dont trust bypass sometimes, but thats just me

Once you have the mix running ok in a dry state, start adding inserts and VSTi's where nessisary.

EDIT: Also check you havnt got other programs running such as iTunes, web browsers, youtube, etc. I have a much faster CPU than yours and it cant handle Studio 4 and another big app at the same time.

like i said i took off every vst im trying to play everything dry but the meters keep running up and down like crazy im considering trying to buy a new processor wich i aready looked for on ebay NEW AMD Athlon X2 Dual-core 6000+ 3.10GHz Processor
i was only wondering how you would know if it can work with my comp.
thank you

It depends what socket CPU you have. You have to make sure the AMD X2 is on the same socket as the sempron. X2's normally come in either socket 939 or AM2.

thank you for showing me that i would let someone check it for me and order accordingly
many thanks.
is the amdx2 a good processor or if some one can point me out to a good processor would be appreciated

last qst

why is it fl studio 8 is playing and cubase dont play
i play the fl 8 alone and i can hear my drums playng like a charm
but when i put it to play with cubase then we back to the old story and yea
i have fl studio as vst in cubase studio 4 ok that is not doing anything because the above mention problem
but i can still get flstudio 8 alone but when i have to two of them together
then we have the click and pop and all the above think i should just use fl studio
to finish my project lol
need a quick xplantion on that one or is it somethng im not understanding here

im sticking with the idea of getting me the AMD Athlon X2 Dual-core 6000+ 3.10GHz Processor

There are certainly better processors out there, but I don't think that is your problem. The first thing that worried me was the fact that you have an HP tower which means loads of backround crap running and that windows probably needs a major tune up. Second, you mentioned a 500 gig hard drive, but only 1 hard drive. You should really get a second drive for just the audio files themselves (the wav files, not the program or sample files). Next thing I noticed was the Lexicon. The lexicons are notorious for pretty shoddy drivers. They have gotten a little better recently, but not really all that solid. Next we are back to the HP thing. Good chance that the power supply in that thing is way below par to put any real stress on the system. Bad power supplies can actually affect things a lot more than people realize. Next, what driver are you using within Cubase itself? Are you using an ASIO driver or some other multimedia or windows driver. You really need to use the ASIo driver. Now for the Fruity loops thing. Ar you using some sort of "rewire" software patch to integrate the two? You need to make sure that howeve you are using fruity loops from within Cubase that you have it's outputs set properly for Cubase and that Cubase is triggering the transport controls for Fruity Loops.

fuity is a vst in cubase and is its triggert by cubase
about the power supply should i change the power supply ?
i was to buy a external harddrive untill this problem came in so im trying to
solve that problem so i can purchase the rest things i need
im using omega asio driver seems t o work ok but the only downside to it is
you always have to connect it back, the light when on is when you are connected and when the light flashes mean that it dont have no connection and by me it just start flashing when im in the middle of a project meaning it disconnect .
so you saying its the power supply have it that cubase cant play what i have record dry ? cause i took off all vst and im on a 100% asio and disk usage
and while not playing the meters still reach 50 % with nothing playing .
i really need a trouble shooting solution here
thanks for your help wish you can help me think this one out

Well, the power supply COULD be creating problems, but I think you have a combination of things. A weak or poor quality supply can affect everything in your system from CPU to RAM to video to Hard drives. It can make them stop working, be instable, or just basically degrade their performance. As for the hard rive, until you get these other issues resolved, an external drive may not help you since that will just be adding another thing to make your computer run. ASIO driversare pretty much a must. I would call lexicon and make them help you if you are constantly losing connectivity. You should not have to choose between stable performance and trying to figure out how to MAKE it work. As for Fruity Loops, even as a plug in, there may still be routing issues that need to be addressed.

ok
then i should be your friend.
so yu tell me what i should ldo a dn i will work on it
as you aready figure out i have no knowlegde of computer
and just learn as yu go that is how i work around the computer .
so if you help me i would be a very happy computer learnee
hahah
thanks man

Honestly? The first thing you need to do in my opinion is find someone in your area that can sit down at your computer with you to determine the real issues. There are just too many variables to say for certain what you actually do and don't need to do. I would hate to see you spending money just for spendings sake.

thanks bro
i will let some one check it for me
many thanks i will let you know how things turn out
before i start back with all the fun stuff
have a nice day
thank you

This may be farthest from your problem, but check your latency... It may be the cause some of the clicking and popping you hear at times if its set to high or to lo. Also check your buffer speed on your PC. I was having the same problems and I had to go fiddle with both of these settings until I got it right. Again, this may not be your problem, but its possible. Disable the Windows "sound scheme" and any power options, screensavers, stand-by settings, etc. My power scheme is "always on" and I have my "hard disk" set to "never".(turn off) Only thing I have on bra bra is hibernation. Now your computer may not be the best, but I'm sure that you should be able to bang out tracks on it. Some people can afford to buy them $2-3k PCs/MacS, and gone get on here an talk down to those who can't or just plain aint. {profane}THEM mane. Send me a private message if you have any more questions or problems bra.
