Rokket

Trailing Behind Again
Joe did the vocals to this.

BentRabbit did the drums

Anfontan added the acoustic lead and the cool dobro slides at the end. EDIT: oops, I forgot to mention the cool mandolin! :o

I did the acoustic rhythm and bass. And of course I have authorship.

If you heard the version I sang, this one will blow your mind. It doesn't sound like the same song. I never imagined when I wrote this for my wife so long ago that it would turn into a song that actually brought a tear to her eye.

My most gracious thanks to Joe for bringing this song to a whole new level.

With You Tonight

Nice! Aren't collabs great? There should be more collabs and stuff.

Seriously, beautiful song.

Nice collab and song guys. Great vocals.

My only mix nit is the hats and cymbals seem a little too sizzly.

I wasn't sure of that when I mixed this. I guess I was concentrating too much on getting all the vocals to sit well and forgot to take a better look at that. I'll check the eq settings. I probably got lazy and threw a damn exciter in there.
Thanks for the listen, Greg.

Hey Eddie, this is a well written song. Totally loving it. The dobro works so well. Yeah, Joey did a great job on vocals, especially the bg's.

Cheers,

Nice song and a great example of collaboration on the forum.
Well done all - Rokket - you've done excellent work so far on this - tweak alittle more an get the max from it.

HaHa...yeah, my softer side :D:D:D

as long as you don't compare me to Barry Manilow, it's OK.....:p

You did a great job with the mix Eddie! Only thing maybe are the drums. They sound a bit too in front, especially the cymbals. But still sounds great...thanx for letting me be a part of it! ;)

BentRabbit and Tony did a great job with their parts too!

Cheers
Joe

Yeah, there is no doubt that you are not a Barry Manilow! I am going to revisit the drums, but I'll only send the remix to those who request it. Joe and Greg are the exceptions. I'll send a remix directly to them.

Anyone else have anything to say?

Cheers,
I thank my wife for the inspiration for this song. If we didn't have such a great relationship I wouldn't have been able to write this song. Joe did an amazing job of interpretation. I don't think this song would be what it is without his contribution.

Tony (Anfontan) did an amazing job of doing the perfect interpretation for the lead and acoustic parts. I had to delete his rhythm guitar parts to make it all fit, but the dobro and mandolin really complete the song.

Thanks for the listen!

Cool tune guys,, really like the vocals, very soulful ...backing vox are really good as well. Cool solo...Wish I could write songs like this....
Great job, congrats to all involved!

Wow--I'm speechless~

This song has made quite a transformation since the first time I heard it, it's an amazing ballad/love song-definitely one of you're best, Eddie.
Everyone parts stand out well-I think my parts match the mix well-and downloaded and played on Media Player there is a lot better ambience.
Bravo Eddie!;)

First I have to agree with queepy--I wish I could write songs like this. It's a great song and in this version, everything comes together so well!

Joe's vocals are dead on and the instrumentation all works together to create a great sound. It doesn't sound like a long distance collab at all (that's a compliment); it sounds like a band that's been playing and writing together and now they have a great sound of their own.

So to everyone--great job! You've really put together a winner. And Eddie--great writing and mixing!

These are the kind of compliments that can really give a guy a swelled head!:D

But then I can come straight back to earth by listening to the orginal singer...:o

Thanks for the listen and the kind words. I will rep those I can.

A most lovely tune for so many involved. Great writing and perfomances. I wouldv'e liked to hear a nice crunchy power chord or 2 strewn in , but thats just me. Congrats to all you guys on a fantastic job.

There were some power chords in the very first version of this song. I couldn't make them fit and not take over the song, so I took them out.

Thanks for the listen! Maybe we can collab again in the future.
