I going to start working on a schoolhouse rock episode that will star my red NO's, like:

"I'm just a NO, just a big old red NO,
and I sit upon the User Conso[le].
It's.. been.. a.. long time I've been sitting here with my two red NO brothers,
I know antichef would kick us out if he could have his druthers,
in the meantime we are here to stay....
oh I hope and I pray... and confess,
in one day... (hopefully less),
we'll be YES."

and then I'll wait for that part where the old cartoon guy steps in and says: "You made it, NO, you're a YES!!" ... "oh YEAH!!"

I like it!! You can do it, Big Red NO!! I know you can!

More proof, should we need it, that great art comes out of pain and suffering. ;)

Just to confirm;

Is the buzzing issue only present in the 81 and not the 73 and 84?

Thanks.

Near as I can tell from the posts on various sites, that is correct. I've not seen anyone post about issues with the 73 or the 84. And the issue appears to be related to the EQ section of the 81 and not the preamp.

I've got 2 x 81s and 4 x 84s coming at some point. We'll wait and see what needs to be done. So far the suggested possible fixes don't seem to be too dramatic - e.g., even I could do them. I'm waiting for something definitive from the Prodigy DIY gurus.

You guys are suffering from anti gear reception disorder

HOLY SHIT!!!! Lucky for us that there is a cure.... I wonder if I can get my doc to prescribe something for this?????

Chance....Guess what!!!! Iv got a fever.....and the only prescription....is more TNC GEAR!!!

For those of you expecting ribbons this time around, I thought you might like to hear that mine arrived a couple of days ago in good order. I just tested a pair of ACM 3s (just a quick check with my voice as well as a bit of banging around on my son's drums). Sounded great - better than I expected - with no audible signs of ribbon sag. I noticed that they were shipped lying slightly to one side in their boxes as opposed to face up - I guess they took Marik's (?) advice about rethinking their packing method. I'm looking forward to mooding them at some point, but I've got to say they sound pretty damn good out of the box.

Thanks, Chance. I've really had fun. Hope we can do it again sometime.

Somebody send this guy a TNC label cowbell....

My group buy order with the microphone ACM-1200 shipped out via FedEx on Thurs. Oct 30, and I received it the next day on Fri. Oct 31. It was very well packed! I am located in the Los Angeles area, so it didn't have to travel far, but it was a very efficient process. So, thanks very much again Chance!

The only slight thing that was not ideal was I didn't receive the two ES-24 shockmounts (for my two ACM-3 Ribbon Mics) from Group Buy 07 (and the replacement ribbons for the two ACM-3 Ribbon Mics and two ACM-4 Ribbon Mics from Group Buy 07). I'm not sure how to get those - maybe I can pick them up in person at some point from Chance?

i'm still not promted to pay shipping at the website. sorry if this is redundant. i've been on the road for a month and my computer time is limited. thanks.

Dreaded AGRD - I'm taking pills now - much better. And let's not forget that if I already had my pres, I prolly would have destroyed them by now with my soldering iron. Better to wait for the pros to come back with the playbook, and in the meantime, out of sight, out of mind (and out of harm's way) :D

Monday. 10:04am CST. November 3, 2008.

I have checked the user console. The 3 red NO's are still there. Despite all I do, I can't get them to leave. I wait patiently for any sign of a green YES, but it's like the NO's know this. It is almost like they understand my need to see a YES and deliberately stay. What are they planning? Are the NO's watching me in turn? Why do they stay? I hesitate to put this in to words, as some may think I have become delusional or, worse yet, paranoid, but it is almost as if the NO's...

...are mocking me. Taunting me. Daring me to hope.

I am not sure how much longer I can hold out...

I dread the "shipping Cost" line far more than the red "no" line.

I stashed $100 when I paid the balance to offset shipping when it came due.
Now I wish I would have bought 1 more 1200 and one more 84.

I've got 8 pres and 2 1200s coming. I'm scared to death I won't be able to cover the shipping.
