TAKE YOUR F*CKING TIME, MAN!! :D

Seriously. We are all adults with patience. I hope.

Patience, yes...Adult.....not so much...

I'd be willing to bet than any one of us that participated in this GB has purchased more new toys in the past year than any ten kids I know. :D

Very True....I must give thanks to Stephanie from Craigslist for selling her ex's recording stuff to pay his bills :D

.....i'd feel guilty but she said everything was cool....and it is a nice little reminder to be as wonderful to my fiance as she is to me!!!!!

Wow...watch out for Stephanie! But hey, good for you! :D

um... no, i definitely want my stuff now. and i'm pretty disapointed in chance that he hasn't developed some sort of matter transportation device to get around the whole shipping time thing... i mean come on... what is this, amateur hour?

I think Chance actually developed such a device. When he tested it, it ALMOST worked perfectly. Apparently everything demolecularized and reassembled except for the ribbon mics. Yep, you guessed it--ribbon sag.

So he scrapped the whole matter transportation thingy.:D

I'm patience personified; it'll happen whenever it happens.

A few weeks ago, we were talking like maybe around "Thanksgiving or early December" - well, we're way earlier than that, aren't we?

"All we are saying is give chance a peace."
I'm patient as well.

Back in mid-July I said "....you (and each of us) should expect your mics and/or pres somewhere between Halloween and Thanksgiving. Some may arrive a bit earlier than that, others may drag on until Christmas."

Looks to me like we're pretty much right on schedule. Chance has a big project here, and once he's gotten over the initial hurdles, he'll probably get a pretty steady stream of packages out to us.

Thanks, Chance. Try to relax and enjoy this if you can.

I might just drive down and pick mine up. I'm in northern CA.
I could also pick up stuff for other norcal or central cal folks if there are any. Maybe if they kicked in a couple of buck for gas?
I've been procrastinating driving to socal for an errand and this might
be an exuse to get me off my rump.

Where are you?

I just measured and compared with a known single space rack piece, and they're identical. Photo on PSW

Maybe drBill can post a pic of his racked units, maybe we can spot something and if nothing else we could just enjoy the gearporn factor....

"where re you"

I'm in S.F.

If i go, i could help pack for a few hours, if needed.

DrBill, are there by any chance rubber or plastic feet on the bottom of the preamps? I once had an EQ that had little rubber feet that I had to remove in order to properly rackmount it.

hey crazydoc,
yeah, might as well have it delivered.
If i go, it would be next week, midweek.

Will do. I'll try for later today.

UPDATE: I no longer care that I couldn't put 6 up against each other. I was going to use a 10sp rack and put in a power strip and my API 10 slot rack......YIKES!!! I now realize that it would have weighed well over 130lbs, so I think smaller is better. I've got them in an 8 space now with 2 blank holes. Still freaking heavy. There's IRON in them things!!! :D

Nope. No rubber feet.

Anyone planning to drop over this weekend to pick up their gear, E-mail me ("WEEKEND" in the subject header) as I am going to the warehouse at 0-dark 30 tomorrow morning, and I'll bring your gear back with me for pick up on Sunday.
