Hi Guys,

I have a bunch of brand new stuff that I received as part of endorsement deals, etc. that has never been used in my studio. Some world class mics, preamps, digtial I/O's, etc..

Serious buyers please check out the list here and contact me to make offers. I will give great deals on this stuff so just let me know if you are interested and we will discuss pricing.

(1) Matched Pair Neumann KM184 cardioid condenser microphones in rare nickel finish and hardwood box with all accessories. Perfect for world class recording of anything from acoustic guitar to percussion and everything in between. The best of the best.

(1) Millennia Media HV-3C Stereo Microphone Preamplifier. Hand made. Point to point wiring. Well known and respected in audiophile circles and has won many awards as what may be the most transparent and colorless world class mic-pre ever designed. For you guitar players out there this combined with those KM184's will just produce the most killer acoustic sound you have ever heard. Why am I selling it then? I already have the 8 channel version and I got this for remote use which never really ended up being practical. I also endorse the products and can provide you an inside track to the manufacturer for future needs.

(1) Motu HD192 Core Computer Recording System. 24 bit /192 digital conversion for the cleanest DVD quality recordings. This is the best of the best for non-proprietary DAW based systems and can be used with many different sofware front ends such as Logic (which I have used for years) and many more. It is also expandable to a ridiculous number of channels that you will never use. LOL...

(1) Mackie Control Universal DAW control workstation with fully automated transport, faders, and plug in parameters. 8+1 Master Penny & Giles motorized faders (Just like SSL, Neve and other world class consoles use) and user friendly metering. Cool piece and a must for computer recording to giev the process a more traditional recording console feel. The best of both worlds. Also expandable by chaining expansion units to a ridiculous number of channels. Or you can just set up banks of automated faders and scroll through them as I do.

(1) O2Rv2 Digital Recording Console with full automation and world class on board multi-effects and amazing reverb. I fell in love with these when using an early prototype version called the DMC during the recording of Sticks & Stones ten years ago at Imaginary Road. Digital can sound cold, but the O2R just warms everything up. Even though I have gone all internal to the computer and use a software front end, I use my O2r (I have two and I'm just selling one of them) as a giant patch bay to send all my signals through in analog before converting to digital. Of course if you are more traditional you can always use it as a regular automated console as well. These things used to cost ten grand, but you won't BELIEVE how little this will be sold for! Why? Well, digital conversion rates have continued to go up so the latest, greatest bit and sampling rates are all the rage. This board is based on 16 and 20 bit technology sampling at 44.1 or 48. The industry standard is now 24/96. Of course most people can't hear the difference, but nevertheless it will keep the price down which is good for you. Forget the sampling rate, use your ears. This board just SOUNDS good and that is what really matters in the end of course. Incidentally, if you like my sound on the S&S record, this board (including the same on-board reverb which we also used), the Millennia mic-pre and the KM184 mics also for sale will give you virtually the exact same setup.

I will discuss pricing individually by PM. Let me know the piece you are interested in and I'll make you a good deal.

im interrested in the prices of everything....could you pm me the price of each piece?

Youngbrave,

How much for the Matched Pair of Neumann KM184, Millennia Media HV-3C Stereo Mic Pre, Motu HD192, Mackie Control Universal , and the O2Rv2.

thats nothing...it took him and I PM'ing back and forth about 3 times to get a price out of him.....In the first one when I asked about a price....he said "sorry I didnt post prices, I just have this stuff and never thought about pricing"....

sounds kinds shady to me....

What? Come on. What a buncha vultures. Jeremy, you and I had exactly two PM's "back and forth". You got the prices and they weren't what you wanted to hear, then you quote ebay, then you flame me. Pretty brutal son.

If you want to buy ebay stuff, shop there - and the rest of you don't call a guy shady unless you are looking for a fight. My reputation speaks for itself. I am an international recording artist and composer - that isn't a puffing statement - in other words I'm plenty visible - and for any serious buyers here I will provide any references you wish.

There is exactly NO point in posting prices unless someone is interested in the piece. I'm not having a fire sale here guys and I could CARE less if I ever sell any of it. Just trying to enter a meaningful discussion in case someone would like any of the stuff. So before you go accusing someone of being shady, try looking at the brighter side which might make some sense to you. If I really wanted to have an auction I would have listed the stuff on Ebay. I have not the time or the interest in entertaining that so I thought I would post a simple announcment on a RECORDING forum to let real studio guys know that I had this stuff if there was any interest. Sheesh...

Well, I didn't. So what? How about we stick with my original thought which is not to turn this into a debate of how each of us like our forum posts to be? Sounds like the mods need to get together and make a rule that sale threads must list prices if that is the consensus. But back to the matter at hand...

Anyone who has an interest in any of the pieces please PM me and we can discuss pricing. This is for your benefit. I'm just looking to get a gauge of what these things will sell for as I have no idea. All I know is list and street prices as new. The bright side is that after a meaningful discussion I'm sure you will get a good deal. As I said, I have no vested interest in selling these things other than to find a home for them and if they don't sell it makes no difference. I hope someone truly needs some of this stuff and if so, each piece will be sold below the prevailing rate of like condition stuff that has sold recently. The thing is, I'm leaving it up to you, the buyer, to tell me what that price is as I don't have the time or inclination to search the web to figure that out. If you want to score something cheap that is the best way to do it - be armed with that information...

Case in point, another forum member who I'll not call out told me after I started a discussion about the Mackie Control that they were selling on ebay for less than what I had in mind. I had no idea but I then confirmed it and PM'd him a lower price. Works like a charm. But of course, once I met the ebay price I never heard from him again because he obviously wasn't truly interested in the piece, but rather just trolling to try and get something for nothing. If that is the goal, I'm not your seller.

But if you really want or need any of this stuff, help me out and show me evidence of what you can buy it elsewhere for and I'll make you a deal? Fair enough? Thanks guys.

....insufferable...

Go ahead - try to insult folks into buying from you, since they don't already know you...

Frankly, I think that you and your gear are far far too good for these boards - you may want to flee before you get anything nasty on you...;)

OK, I'll bite. What is the validity of this statement? How would you know my reputation other than my word? It is only relevant unless someone buys something from me, so what is the value of your comment one way or another?

Moreover, unless a forum has a post count prior to sales listing policy I'll not be made to feel guilty for lurking here and only posting when I have something to sell. After all, if anyone comes on the good fortune of needing a piece of gear that I have, my posting has only brought good fortune to another. This forum has an edge over CL, Ebay, etc... in that it is populated only by people interested in recording related stuff. So good for me for limiting my sales coverage to the site that I consider to be the best pool of potential buyers.

The funny thing is how seriously some take themselves. This forum does in fact have a sales section and it is equally funny how some feel that that resource is somehow only valid if it is a "known" member who posts there. If my item is to be bought it will also be searched for by any savvy buyer who will see the offerings on CL, EBay and the like as well as my listing here. The net result is the same. A happy buyer meets a seller and gets what he wants. So please, get over yourselves - and more importantly, how about not crapping on my thread and insinuating scams, etc. when you know nothing about me - nor do you need to if you are not a potential buyer. In other words, any contribution to this thread unrelated to the gear in question serves no purpose, so kindly lay off.

In closing, and as the original thread states, I have some great stuff that I would love to see go to a nice home for a fair price and I will be happy to provide industry level references to any potential buyers. Thanks for looking!

What? Where to you get that? Who have I insulted? It is me who has been called out there Jr., and I continue to be for no good reason - and now by you apparently.

Meanwhile, I have received exactly 12 pieces of direct communication about the gear here and I think two the pieces are now sold. Funny, none of the potential buyers appear to be "insulted". The only people I am speaking to publicly here are the cynical ones, such as yourself, intent on fixating on the simple fact that I posted a sales thread without prices. That was yesterday. This is today. Let's move on. Thanks.

How would you know my reputation other than my word?

That's exactly the point. Being that you are virtually unknown around here your post sends up a big red flag as it should. You could be the most honest person in the world but how do we know that? Because you say so?

This forum does in fact have a sales section and it is equally funny how some feel that that resource is somehow only valid if it is a "known" member who posts there.

This section "is" for known members to sell gear to other known members. Only an idiot would give money to a brand new member with an almost nonexistent post count.
