Buying a Mixer

So I am looking at buying my first mixer. I was going to grab a Peavey PV 14 USB 14-Channel Mixer from Musicians Friend, but they don't have it in stock until Sept. 25th. That's probably a good thing, because that forces me to scope the net out a bit more.

What do you guys recommend getting? I'm looking at spending $350-400 at most. Definitely a USB mixer. Hit me up with some links for some USB mixers, whether it's eBay, Musicians Friend, or any other site. Recommend some mixers that you guys have experience with :D
 
Oh, and I'm located in Canada, so if you send a link, amke sure they ship to Canada please :P
 
The way I did it....get drunk, go to L&M, open account,make HUGE impulse purchase, worry about how yer gonna pay for it all, enjoy new gear.:D

True story.
