Headphone Jack to mixer?

Could I plug a headphone jack into a DI box which then goes to the mixer without screwing everything up?
Will it sound alright?
Reason I'm asking is because there is a keyboard right in my price range and it has weighted keys and what not, but only has headphone out, no 1/4" line outs.

Without any idea as to what model/make the keyboard is, do we not expect problems with the headphone jack being stereo running out of a mono 1/4in jack to the box? That could possibly result in only half (or probably less signal the closer you got to the center of the keyboard) the signal going out.

Even if the keyboard has mono modules, is that what we're willing to settle for?

Just thought it was worth asking.

Sounded like elenore19 was looking for a quick fix. I used to run a DGX-505 that way and yes a little power loss but not that much and no problems.

If stereo is an issue, then purchase something like this or similar:

Then you would have to use 2 direct boxes instead of one and use 2 channels on the mixer.

I also used this set up when I took my DGX into the studio
