Why must my mono songs become converted to "stereo" on cd

if you do that you are only going to hear the track out of one side either left or right depending on which side you delete.

Well, it would definitely "work". Are all your mono tracks always panned to one side or the other???? I don't think so. Mono doesn't mean one side, it simply means one signal.:)
 
Good to see the thread turn back, for a moment at least, to the thread title of stereo/mono.

The OP should post his music in the mp3 forum if he wants listeners, not in the Rack subforum. Not that stereo vs mono has anything to do with rack gear either.

Did a little research it was invented in 1998. That explains why I never heard of it. It came around a little after my party days.

I agree with you in the sense that the OP was talking about wanting to have a mono rather than stereo file go through a stereo playback system. But purely objectively, a mono file will be slightly "stereoized" when played back on two speakers due to positioning and room response. So if someone wants to listen in ultra mono they should have a mono file going through one speaker. And maybe they should plug up one ear too, heh.

He's right you know, though...The goofy song I posted (track 3) was done in fruity loops. The others, not so much.

In respectful disagreement with JTC111, I posted that song (my god has died - track 19) as my most painful song. Not my worst song, I actually think it's the best noise track that I ever did. It's just painfully unlistenable at reasonable volumes, which was deliberate.

Back to Jordan. It takes a particularly damaged mind to remember what fruity loops rendering engine sounded like in 2002 and be able to pick it out in a relatively low bitrate WMA file. I know this because the last guy that hated a few songs on my album because they were done in fruity loops was also a self deluded drug addled talentless douche who ended up killing himself by shooting himself in the chest with a flare gun while his wife slept in the next room. He was always doing stuff like that when he was high. He thought he was cool.
 
So, about mono vs stereo...

I had mono in high school. Is that why I prefer stereo?

Sorry about that. I misunderstood what you said. In fairness to you though, I didn't listen to the song (listening to other peoples bad songs is the musical equivalent of fart sniffing) and I wasn't commenting on it. My point, and I think it's still valid, was that a good songwriter should be able to recognize when they've written a bad song.

Hey, I have a great idea. How about we all collaborate and write a song about Jordan? If it's bad enough, maybe he'll put it on his next album (which is due out Monday) or the one after that (which is due out next Thursday). We'll all be famous for starting the revolution that changed the world!!! :D
