wait, i dont mean to be rude or ignorant here, but when exactly is the estimated ETA of the shipping?
i hear end of august being thrown around, as well as september and even october.. what is the real deal!?!?
I don't think anyone has an "exact estimated ETA of the shipping". I'm not even sure which part of the shipping you're asking about (from China to the US? or from the US port of entry to the final purchaser?). You mention August, September, and October - I think the real answer is that all three of those are "the real deal" - depending on which part of the process you are asking about.
Chance told us a month or so ago that he expected the shipment to leave China around the end of August. More recently he seems to be suggesting that that date may improve. So let's assume that the products will leave China somewhere between August 15th and August 31st. The estimate for travel time across the ocean is 30 days, but that, too, may be conservative.
OK, so that suggests that the products may reach the US around 9/15 (which is neither best case nor worst case). Then it will take a few days - maybe a week - for Chance to claim them from customs, pay the duties, and transport them to the logistics vendor who is handling US shipping.
Chance then needs to calculate the appropriate duties, logistics, and shipping costs for each of us and bill us for that amount via Randy's system. Once we've paid it, he can instruct the logistics vendor to ship our product to us individually. It's probably safe to assume that those shipments will start around October 1st.
If the logistics vendor is fast enough, it may be that nearly all of us will receive our mics/pres in October. On the other hand, some may stretch into November. That's pretty good - definitely better than the estimate that I posted here several weeks ago.
Is that what you wanted to know?
