Ok. I put up acoustic panels in my control room and the sound is really different now. I know, its suppose to be. I mixed this tune in the new environment. I stuggled with the drums as usual, maybe worse this time. I had not played them in a while. Or guitar for that matter. Been workin on the panels. Anyway it nothing fancy, but I sort of like it. I think maybe the Bass is too strong ? I usually have problems with the bass level (the untreated room screwed with it big time). I have played this on many different systems and it sounds pretty consistant. Give me some feedback. A bit of interest. The second lead guitar work toward the end is actually a Bass plugged into an EpiJr head, volume cranked and its pushing a Marshall Micro Stack speaker. Sounds pretty cool. Nice job. I saw your Japanese style studio in the studio building forum, and it looks pretty cool. This is a good mix, I like it, and it sounds pretty darn good. Only qualm I have is a couple of timing misses on drums at about :46 and again at about 2:09, but the mix is good. Don't think your mixing will be such a problem now!!!

I was so tired after beatin on those drums. Im out of shape. I had to do about 6 takes on them to get that half assed performance :) Thanks for the reply. Before treatment my ears would hurt after a few hours of playing, mixing. The first thing I noticed now is they dont hurt. And I had alot less tweaking to get the mix to sound consistant on my different sound systems.

Lol. Sounds like KISS' "Heavens on Fire". :D

Mix sounds real good. Besides the timing flubs, no nits from me dude. Sounds great.

this sounds really really good man....even with it being on soundclick...great job

I must concur with my colleagues. The mix sounds right on. Nice job. And I also like what you did with the bass/lead solo near the end. Sounds nice...

I had alot of fun with the bass guitar thig. I think Im gonna utilize it alot more. Sounds really cool. If only I could play it like Mr. Entwhistle

Yeah, I think your new treated space seems to help. I don't think the bass is too strong. I had to hear the 2nd solo after reading the op, and never would've guessed it was a bass. I hope you keep experimenting with off-the-wall stuff like that.

Parts of it remind me of some foreigner song...turn me loose or something like that.

The mix does seem to be right on the money. An excellent sound going on.

Thanks. I been hurting real bad today (weather). So I have not been able to play. Ive got alot of metal in me and arthritis, so it sucks at times.

Fixed the very noticable drum flubs. Also re-eq'd a little also. Oh yea !!! 3 days untill the Rush concert. Then 3 days later its Blue Oyster Cult, then in August its Alice Cooper, then Extreme. Woohooo !!!!!
