Naka,
Some bloke named Peter Green's been ripping you off for years.
It's definietly a tribute & some of the phrases are quite colse - the arrangement and mix are really close - well done. The drums may need some tweaking as they are much more defined than I remember the mac's being. I can imagine quite a few people who, sadly, only have a vague knowledge of the original thinking they're hearing IT!
Nice work.

Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies.........

Oops wrong song. :p

Sounds pretty good. I don't know "Albatross", but I like this pretty good. Almost has a lazy surfy kind of feel to it. Are there gonna be lyrics?

@naka
Very interresting!
I have to listen it again.

@greg
I am surprised that you never heard "Albatross".
Take a listen. It is something really special.

I probably have heard it once or twice, but I really dislike Fleetwood Mac. My dislike for them is bordering on violent hate. :D

Nice, Naka, I like the gits in harmony and the drums are loose. I'm so tired of perfect programmed drums. Not sure I know Albatross either, but I liked FM, especially Rumors and what was that drum thing? Not Toad, but . . . I know, Tusk.:)

You dislike both versions? both american and English.

I`ve allways dug the old "british Mac, Black magic woman, Oh well, and green "Manalishi".

The Later Mac was good but dident have that feel to it.

I caught on to mac, after reading the Peter green was David Gilmours biggest idol.:)

Thanks Ray, I too feel it is very close sounding.
But it is sorta ment to put you into that mood the albatross does.

This is with Groove agent drums, I will preform this with my band quite soon.
Hope to get a more naturall vibe to it.

Peter green is a mean mofo:D

Thanks Greg, I was going to let it be an Instrumental, but who knows.
Everything may change if the Prog has its way:D

Thanks, man.

Tried to mix the drums up a bit, to get sloppy and daft, I kinda got there, but a drunk drummer will do much better:D

Btw here`s the mighty Mac`s Albatross

Yeah I'm not really a fan of artsy post-hippie rock. I didn't really know there was a brit and an American version of the band. All I know is that I'd like to bludgeon Stevie Nicks across the head repeatedly with a large blunt object. :D

Did you see the Stevie Nicks Mexican restaurant waitress bit on Saturday Night Live? Classic.;)

Stevie Nicks is part of the American version.

take a listen to the track called Oh well, you`ll dig it for sure:)

Yeah I know that one. Not bad. It carries some energy. It's a little too jam-bandish for me though. But it doesn't totally suck. :D

There are some killer versions of the tune out there, check the Norwegian Blues legend Marius Müller`s version.:)

Its a tad less jamband, to say the least:D

New little Tune I did.

All the guitars were done in Guitar rig. as this is a scetch at best.

Its meant to be a tribute to Fleetwood Mac`s classic Albatross.

So you`ll notice some plagiarisme, do I get away with it?:D

Here`s the tune.

it's easy to get away with plagiarism when you call it an homage!!! :D

seriously, i like this. the mix must be good, because i forgot i was critiquing it. very relaxing and enjoyable. the guitars sound warm--that guitar rig is all right! the toms are a little "boing-y" but i'm not even sure i dislike it for this. i'm just trying to be critical, because that's what i was supposed to be doing instead of just enjoying the track. :)

good stuff, as always--i don't think i've ever commented on your songs before, but i always like them.

After Peter Green went walkies FM became the who wants an ace rhythm section band. Who was the Ebony Eyes bloke - he was front for a while. THe US FM was built for FM radio. My wife LOVES that Rumours etc era FM but I won't let her play it when I'm around - I have to draw the line sonewhere in the house & it's around USFM records.
Late British Blues Boom Band I think you'd call the Albatross incarnation. Peter Green's running Splinter Group since he re emerged a couple of years ago - he out lived Syd but they may have been on a similar line of paranoia and altered stateness. I wonder if Syd'd have come around had he lived long enough.
REGARDLESS - a nice piece naka.
Chris Welch!!!!! 3 nanoseconds after I pressed enter it came to me!!

Really nice atmospheric guitars...I like the mix of the up front and distant guitars...I dont know to much early Mac, my band plays Oh-Well...and I dig Rattlesnake Shake and Green Mahaleshi...I need to check out some more...about the earliest I go back in my collection is Bare Trees (which is pretty killer as well).
Nice job Nak!

Yep the two different placements on the guitar work well. The slide is cool...
Cool mellow tune. Looking forward to hearing what the band does with this tune...
