Slowing becoming un-noob.
So I picked up a cheapo drumset from a buddy. I know I had problems comin' when doing that. So now I have these problems(after one day) and I need to fix this sucka.

One of the bass drum lug holder things broke off of the bass drum itself. So it sounds like you're hitting a tightened tarp.

Next I have a high tom. I think 14" maybe? Not sure, I don't think it matters.
It only has one head, and one Ring for that matter. So If I wanted I couldn't put another head on there. So, if I have a tom with only one head, will I ever be able to get a good enough sound to record with?

Thanks for the help.
That is all for now.

Single-head toms can be used to great effect, they ring more and have less depth. However, getting spare parts to fix up your kit good & proper is not difficult.

Show us a picture of how the lug broke from the shell. It may be very tricky to fix , but anything is possible.

The lug holder was plastic and it broke in the back. The screws were still screwed in. I already switched around some lugs to make up for the lost one, and got it up and running and sounding fairly decent.

I've used them a lot and they've always been good to me.
