but it will likely feel good. You tell me.

The guitar shop down the street has a Hughes and Kettner 20W 1x12 that some guy walked in off the street with. I have it on hold for $80, picking it up tomorrow, if you can believe that. It has a 12" Celestion in it... not sure if that was original or not.

Thing is, I've got an amp. I run a G&L Invader through a Fulltone OCD into a Fender Hot Rod DeVille. It's loud. Very. But the other week I sold all my old, unused Boss pedals to finance a TC Electronics Nova Delay, which has completely blown my mind. BUT to use Ping Pong delay you gotta be in stereo... so...

I picked this baby up. Now the guy who sold it is hemming and hawing about selling his 12" extension cab for it... which I don't really care about. I think I'll throw $150 on the Blackheart 1x12... http://www.zzounds.com/a--2676837/item--BLABH112.

Should I go through with this? Part of me thinks the 250 or so would be better spent entertaining women, but I feel like if I go through with this and get some sort of stereo-ish rig I will finally be able to sit back, kick my feet up and know that FINALLY I am the weakest link in my signal chain.

1. In 5 years the women will be gone, you will still have the amp.
2. Having a stereo guitar rig is pretty useless. Other than ping pong delays and super-wide stereo chorus, there isn't much point. Most people in the audience will never notice, and Lord help you if you roll up on a mono PA. (either he will only mic one cabinet, so you just get the 'ping' of the 'ping pong', or he will mic both cabinets and your stereo choruse will cancel the guitar out of the PA)

What do you need the extension cab for?

having a stereo set up will NOT guarantee you are the weakest link the chain. you'll find something else. honestly you're better off spending the money on women.

Well... I thought that the other amp would need to compete with the DeVille... maybe that's wrong.

They twisted my arm and made me try her out... I always wanted to Try a H&K... hearing that clean channel break up got in my bones. I dunno what to do.

Perhaps I'll just skip the extension cab and use the H&K as a practice amp in my house.

I think you'll be surprised at how loud 20 watts can be. Run them together, even if not in stereo, and you might get a nice thick sound.
