Sometimes I just don't get it.
I would love to have a typical hollow body rockabilly gretsch but with a smaller scale length like a jagmaster. My small hands would love that. Anybody know anything like that?
Gibson Byrdland. It's a short scale hollow body with a carved top. Not as deep as some of the Gretsch guitars, but very playable. Here's mine:
Whats the deal with those frets??
I haven't one f'n clue.

I think it's for improved intonation...
Those frets allow better intonation on deep tunings I believe. I know John Mayer used to use a similar one for the song "Neon." The tuning for that song is standard, but the low E string tuned to C instead.

Imagine playing barre chords up and down the neck. You'd have to work your arm like a windshield wiper.
