Best way to double mic the kick drum

I have never tried this, and it will certainly sound like crap.

That's why you should flip the phase on the shin-mic.

I double ....... err second Rami's suggestion!

How about a speaker mic (i.e Yamaha Subkick) outside the kick for low freq in combo with a dynamic mic inside the kick?
 
This is the same dude that started the whole stupid "doubling the kick" thread. You'd think he would have learned something by now.

What exactly did I do now Greg? For the record, I didn't start that thread. I thought this was a forum (i.e. a public meeting or assembly for open discussion)?

What haven't I learned? Is a speaker mic for the kick not a good idea in your opinion? Please do elaborate Greg.
 
Oh sorry everybody (especially Greg L) that I didn't read the entire thread to see that a speaker mic was already mentioned. Man I am just the biggest loser of all time.
