Lovely melody Ido!
Lovely sentiment as well.
The bass needs a little more mid I think - the growl is there & a bottom end but it's a little thin in the gut - unlike me of late!
The drums are a bit loud - or the top end of the snare hi hat & cymbals are cutting through too well.
No solo?
Vocals & guitars sit beautifully together.

I like the lyrics, I am glad you posted them. My only nit with the vocals is that on about 2 or 3 notes, you seem to be "cracking" the high notes. In other words, the key is too high, or you could figure out how to sing this notes a 3rd/5th down.

There was a solo, a tasteful one. Drums seem a lil blase, but they are fine. As always a very well written and tasteful track.

Nice tune...I'd like the rhythm guitar a touch louder myself...it's quiet compared to the drums. Other than that, I like it. Cool one man...

Ray, David, Ed - thank you for the listen and the kind words...

I sat down to write a grad song, and this is what developed.

... Bass has always been a tough one to eq on my system. I will play around with it and see what I can do. Drums are stereo tracks which I can take down a tad. Solo is there but is very subtle....
... The key is within range but those couple of notes are a little weak and could be redone. I think I did quite a few takes that day and I might have been a bit tired.
... once I take down the drums I'll see how the rhythm sounds.

This is a tough genre to pull off. Sentimental and sincere and it comes off pretty well. the vocals are a little weak at points, but you get away with it. The guitars are at a good volume and the tone is sweet.

It's kind of like Clapton's Wonderful Tonight, but doesn't have the signature lick. That might be something you could add.

Sounds pretty good. Mellow song. Nice jangly guitar tones. Some of the vocal lines jump out a little much. Maybe compress them a little more. Maybe also add some vocal harmonies in there somewhere. Other than that, sounds pretty good to me.

Lyrics are perfect and vocals are just right. I love the song. The guitar chords and tones ... great! Solo fits the song just right. I think you could bring the kick down if you wanted to. Always soundin good ido!

Thanks Erockrazor, I'll remix this bringing the drums down (it's a stereo drum mix so no individual drums)...

The drums are a tad on the robotic feel side ... and so I'd probably lay them back a bit further ... I'd brighten the snare too ... just a little.

Bass and guitars could come much more forward. Take a little meat out of the guitars, kick the high end of them a little, and you could seat them right around the vocal pocket.

Lock the bass to the kick, ride it on top of it ...

and you're good to go.

Nice! You do have that Clapton-ey sound to your voice, which is cool. I liked the guitar solo, but it was too short! Needs more cowbell... err, I mean guitar solo!

(Ok, I realize a lot of people hate guitar solos, but I'm not one of them. )
