Can i buy the Pro tools software without all the hardware?

I've been looking for the pro tools software but i can find it. and if i do find it, it's bundled with some kind a' hardware.

Yup... No getting around it...thats why you never find a cracked version. Cheapest way into PT is with the Mbox for just under $500.

the hardware is the only thing protools is good for. if your looking for a great software, go nuendo, because it also uses he protools hardware (i think). Thats one reason why they give the program away for free ;).

Nuendo does not work with PT hardware, only Logic does....

thanks! i just asked on another thread if it did or not because i thought i might be confused but you cleared it up.

however, nuendo is still a great software. ;)
 
I run nuendo with my 002...what are you talking about it doesnt work?

I read some documentation that said that Logic took advantage of some features of digi hardware that pro tools doesn't take advantage of...does that make any friggin sense? lol

It's to do with running the TDM stuff i think, not the native gear..

Virgin? No doubt!

He most likely is still trying to get Pro Tools to work with his Sound Blaster.:D
