I have several 32k DAT tapes recorded on my Sony DTC-700.When I try to play these on my Panasonic, there's no sound & no level showing on the meters, even though the correct sample rate shows on the meter.I have no problems playing back 48k/44.1k tapes recorded on the DTC-700 on the SV-3700.Anyone have any idea what the scoop is here?TIA!

If I remember right, Sony and Panasonic use different 32kHz standards....you can't play a tape made on one in the other..you'll have to dub one if you want it to play in both decks..

The problem is I only have my Pansonic working now,& I've run into a snafu w/ the loading mechinism on the very OLD & worn Sony:mad::mad:I'm basically doing some archiving of my all my DAT tapes to my Comp.Hard Drive & alot of my older tapes are 32k!Just gonna have to tinker alittle w/ My Sony,& see if I can fix it!

Thnk U for the feedback!:)
