NL5 - There's some kind of really highend staticy noise in your mix. I seem to remember reading that you just got new monitors or something, maybe they're not telling you the truth about the super-high end? I'd guess it's around 16KHz or so...

You may also be picking up the high end of the keys. It's pretty high pitched.

These tracks just have a lot of problems.

Good god....you weren't kidding - I spent quite a while with this mix earlier....and that noise and static and hum and crap is just WAY too much.

This is about as good as I can get this song:

Having to destroy the high end of every track (except the keys, although they did have noise, too...somehow - just not as much) to get rid of all that hissing really kills this songs mixability (is that even a word?) I used X-Noise, and there were some good noise samples to have it "learn" from...but it still was just too much.

What the hell happened during tracking of this song, Jammer? Did you record under a waterfall? (I'm just messing with you...but really - what happened? These tracks have terrible issues! I really, strongly recommend retracking at least the vocals, without the noise... If you can get us clean - not noisy, hiss-free, vocal takes, you may be able to get some decent mixes, perhaps... Is retracking the vox out of the question?)

I tried to use the GVST - G-Snap plugin, tuned to D minor. But, I don't know if that's the right key, I'm a drummer !!!

Vaquero, the drumkit was pre-mixed into only two tracks: the kick drum track + a stereo track with all the other mics, icluding the OHs, panned at 75%.

note: im not putting anyone down, im just pointing out what would make the songs sound amazing you all are very good, i envy you for your abilities.


first mix i listened to was by NL5.
i have to say the music in this mix was pretty damn impressive, but the vocals have alot more potential that what came out in the mix. buts a very good mix. good job.
then i listened to the second mix with the different vox effect and it almost made me have a heartattack very impressive im in love.

The second mix i heard was by CPMUSICK
all i can say for this one is wow, it blew me out of the water, only problem is the synths werent up enough and the if there was no echoe effects in one part of the song would have sounded a lot better. but that applies for all the mixes ive heard so far, so im not directing this to you.

the third mix i listened to was TyphoidHippo
he had the music down nice, there was something in the vocals that didnt sound right. the intramental is pretty damn good, i cant lie, i do like it, good job

the rest of the files were dead links.
im not sure what happened but i couldnt hear them.
