I didn't hear the original but I thought everyone was crazy till I realized you had tweaked it...really well done song, the singer is awesome - she reminds me a lot of Jolie Holland, your guitar sound is great and everything else fits real nice.

Americana can be really moving when done right and I think you got it.

lmao...that ship has pretty much sailed. I'm lucky they LET me play with them. :D

You're lucky to have the financial leverage. They keep you around because you buy the equipment. ;)

Very good song, by the way. Good writing, I like the lyrics. :)

Yup, I'm just going to pile on with more compliments...

haha...well thanks for taking the time man.

As far as tambo goes, reverse your pattern;

Little klunk on the ending, what was that dropout?

Ok, I reversed the pattern. I see what you're saying...do the tambo "hits" like a snare would hit, and let the bass pick up where it would be playing with the kick. I never thought about it before, so thanks.

Lol...The dropout was TOTALLY intentional and TOTALLY not to cover up a mistake at the end of the song. :D - I appreciate the listen very much

I couldn't agree more, and I appreciate your comment.

Cool...this one was written really fast - those are usually my favorites. Thanks for taking the time.

When do I get to play tele with delay??

It wasn't on this tune...check your PM's for the link to the new tune and see if you want to do it.

Really great! Where are the other 3?

Cheers!

Thanks man... I really appreciate it. I'm working on bass lines and background vocals and stuff; hopefully, they'll all be done by this weekend. Maybe sooner. Telepaul's helping me with one of them as I type this.

I'm burning a copy for my wife - for in the car.

Don't go Lars (Metallica) on me and take legal action.

:D

Fantastic song. I really like the lyrics, the guitar playing is great, the recording is excellent, and although I'm not a fan of the country-esque type of singing (the pitchshifts and stuff), your daughter is a very good singer. Nice backup too. I honestly wouldn't change a thing.

hahaha...I'm flattered. Just remember to post back and tell me if the bass was too loud in the car. :D

patlang12 & Guitarer - I know I sound like a broken record here, but thank you very much for listening.

Nice, tune.

well sung and played by the both of you.

Dig the sound of the guitars on this very pro sounding.

thanks for sharing:)

Wow...

Whoa...I am so caught up in this song! This is beyond amazing and I am VERY impressed. This song really touches me...this goes beyond just analyzing a song on a recording forum...I love it man. You and your daughter are just outstanding.

I really dig the production and feel of it all. The guitars sound great, bass is great, percussion is great, and the vocals are outstanding!

I am gonna show my fiancee' this when she gets home! I am show this to my band as well.

I would by this cd in a heartbeat!

+1 on that.

Your really on to something special here.

(Big Label special ?)

Ahh, what a really nice song. Love the intro, very clean and simple. Singing is great, both lead and backing. I like the lyrics too, well thought out.

The hard panned guitars work, but sometimes they get syncopated(?) and you can hear them switching across the ears (I'm on headphones). The recording of the guitars are awesome. That's the sound I would like to achieve. What are your guitars and recording chain?

Look forward to hearing the rest.
Chili :)

I don't see this listed (sorry if you did and I just missed it)

but what mics and preamps we're used ?
