I've got some covers knocking around------------------------------------------------------------>disappears promptly stage left

Gee, that's funny. I know how you feel.....That's exactly what happened to the guitar solo I did for you and Llarion about a month ago. Nobody has even taken the time to tell me it's too shit to put out. :D:

Oh, thpppth to you. :) I finally got it out. :)

Randy, The vox are too low in your Come Rain or Come Shine, my bruthah!! Sweet rendition though!!

Here is one that people have either really dug, or really hated :p...a cover of Donovan's "Mellow Yellow", that is neither mellow or yellow ;)

MELLOW YELLOW:

Well this sure took me by surprise!!! Certainly, your arrangement has a better sense of irony than the original... :) Good stuff, lots of power... The overall master is a little distant and fuzzy, like a back wall room mic on a live performance, but it's got tons of energy and the playing and singing is terrific!!

of course I love the thread ;)

Great Job so far on all the covers everyone!

Trooo ~~ I guess I missed this one of yours, that was excellent! :D

Been out of pocket for awhile but I am determined to get my space finished and start recording again someday

anyways, most have already heard this one, but to feel like I am contributing, here was another cover of EL34's that he allowed me to sing on:

Wicked Game (Chris Isaak)

Good to be back and keep this thread alive :)

OK, dayum.. You could be an Chris Isaack tribute act... REALLY outstanding work and a beautiful and haunting song!

And now, for something completely different...

I posted this a couple of years ago, but it fits for here:

Children of Sanchez - Chuck Mangione

25 tracks; two passes of drums, 5 mics each, bass, acoustic rhythm, acoustic lead, Rhodes patch (RD500), and all the cello, horn and wind instruments are Korg Triton 61 and Proteus 2000 patches. No sequencing at all, each part played realtime.

I didn't know much about micing drums at the time, Rami.. ;)

The end is especially cool.

I have a cover Terra Mortim did of Kraftwerk's Radioactivity..the mix is absolute shit (hasn't been mixed down past some of the initial editing levels), but wouldn't mind getting opinions of the overall cover. Should I post it, regardless of it's unmixed state?

Here, is my bands cover of Radioactivity by Kraftwerk. =D Disclaimer. I know the mix sucks, this is literally the mix I was using for doing various edits. Just would love people's criticism as far as the actual cover (arrangement, instrumentation, etc) We're just waiting for it to clear by the band before releasing it and playing it live.

=D Can't wait to see what people are thinking, esp people who know the original.

A couple from a while ago... I think they've been tweaked a little since the last time I posted them...

Here's one with Anfontan, Dogman and Gorty helping out a bit (yes Gorty, I finally finished your solo) :p

Lunatic Fringe

And this one is just sumpin I had some fun with :)

Safety Dance
