He does live sound work in Chicago. He has what looks like a pretty decent setup. He has a lot of knowledge in recording. I remember him saying he doesn't play instruments, or at least he said he doesn't play guitar.

Do the math guys. :D

Do you think he just bought some recording gear so he could sit in his room and look at it? He's obviously recording something.

He has his reasons for not showing it. Give the dude a break already. All he does is offer advice and help people. And he obviously has a passion for recording.

With that said, I'd love to hear some of his work as well just out of curiosity.

I'd seriously recommend get "Mixing Engineer's Handbook" by Bobby Owsinski... It's very informative, and gives you advice from people who have mixed Zep, The Who, Yes and others...

Yeah, it does get kind of old. But I really want to hear something from Glen. I'm just too curious now and even though it's bordering on harassment, he should still post something just to save face a bit. Not that it matters but my assumption is he sucks.

What on earth is it about a few people asking to hear examples of someone else's work ... that just sends so many people in to a tail spin ? People do it contantly on the MP3 forum. I could imagine people getting a little huffy if someone were to say "I'd like to hear some of your mp3's -- by the way, your Mama's ugly."

But no one said that. So what's the big deal? What on earth do some of you find so mean and offensive about wanting to hear someone's work? Seriously, some of you ding-dongs need to get your heads checked.

Obviously asking to hear a sample of one's work in and of itself is not offensive..............OBVIOUSLY. Words never directly reflect intent especially here.

That however CLEARLY does not represent the spirit and or content of this thread. The fact is (all issues of mp3's and accusations and intents and purposes aside) this thread is hostile regardless of it's genesis.

The fact that you don't understand why some find this offensive perhaps explains why the conflict exists in the first place.

I can't believe you are asking how it's offensive. You completely stole this guy's thread to bitch and piss and moan to Glen about how you have samples and he doesn't and he didn't listen to the right ones, and that he's this and that... You made one post that was made to the OP, and the rest are you bitching with Glen about nonsensical stuff that should be handled over PM's... as with almost everybody in this thread now...
