I have bought two of the 10 packs and had no problems going on four years, use 'em in my studio on mics, and live venues....ain't the thickest cable or the best, but at $5 each its a good buy so far.

I use to have the cheap cables from guitar center and then I bought the cheaper monster cables, and it drastically improved my recordings. I'd say save your money and wait, coming from the most impatient person there is.

DONT BUY THOSE.

They do look a lot better ends. The 57 copies look good, especially buying in bulk.

how about their 58 knockoff's??? i was about to buy the 3 pg48's for $80, but if those are just as nice......

they don't have any other retailers do they?

Why not?

Someone explain to me why a cheap cable in good working order will produce a different sound quality than a good cable in working order. They both carry a low voltage electric signal and if you don't have interference, what's the problem? I seriously doubt it when people claim cheap cables change your sound quality. Unless you have an issue with interference I don't buy it.

Well, they do offer 100% money back plus shipping.
You might as well get a few.

i have a bunch of monster cables that i primarily use, also i will use the mogami cable that came with a mic i bought for other mics too.

but i also bought that 10 pack, and they are not bad, they seem cheap, but i use those for things that are always plugged in. i would imagine if you are plugging and unplugging all the time that they wouldnt last long.

i honestly can not tell the difference between the cheap ones, the monsters, or mogami, maybe my ears are bad though??

i figured for the price its nice to alwys have a few extra cables laying around

doubt it.

cheap cables might not last as long, and they might be noisier if not shielded properly, but thats about it. monster cables are the BIGGEST rip off in audio right now.

I bought the 10 pack about 2 years ago, when I got them one was already dead, I can't seem to solder and fix it. By now about 4 have gone bad, and I have had to fix them. They don't hold up very well. I'm in the process of phasing them out and making mogami/neutrik cables...but it gets kind of expensive. They are what they are...cheap cables.

good, i'm glad. yes, go to the mic forum, and search es-57. you will get LOADS of responses. for the money they are great. they dont sound exactly like 57s, but they dont sound worse either, just a little different. the cables really are nice, i'm not kiddin.

got the mic cables, and they are sick :] thats for sure. they feel nice and sturdy. i am going to pick up some of those ES-57s once I get another firepod :]

I've bought a couple 10 packs of MF budget cables I even bought their better budget cables. Guess what? They were the same cable but almost 3x the price.
Any way I consider them trash I've had a couple fall apart before they could even be used once. The best case scenario would be in an enviorment were
there never moved, wiggled or even looked at to hard.

There are a lot of places that sell much better places almost as inexpensive.

I've used several of the cables purchased from this link. They are much better than the MF budget cables. There not really heavy duty but they are put together better and higher quality.

Honestly, you are way over exaggerating. I have at least 20 of those cables in my studio right now, and I recorded all night on Saturday. Guess what? Everything worked fine. Not only that, but there have been times where I tripped over some of them yanking on them as hard as you can imagine, even to the point of the mic pres flying off the shelf and STILL they all work. Every one of them.

Are they cheap cables? Yeah. Do they work? Yup. Do they last? Mine have over the last 3 years.
