I haven't posted here in years but wanted to share my story on M-Audio's service.

I recently bought a used DMP3 online from a music store selling it on consignment. When it arrived I noticed that the gain pot on one of the channels was missing and the knob was totally smashed to bits. When I opened it up I found that the pot had broken off at the solder points and needed to be replaced. It was apparantly a victim of UPS's package handling.

I was disappointed at first, but decided not to send it back or try to get the seller to file a complaint against UPS. I'd just fix it. I scoured the net for a replacement pot, but had no luck. I emailed M-audio explaining my situation. And even though they had no pots or knobs in stock, they removed them from a functional DMP3 and mailed them to me free of charge. Talk about going the extra mile... :)

yeah ... now if they'd only develop vista drivers for the delta interfaces that thousands of us own ... THEN i'd be impressed.

sorry - this thought crosses my mine once ever ten seconds.

True...but then again..theres still a LOT of programs w/o vista drivers. and vistas been out forr...what, a year, if not close to that long? Vista itself is still quite choppy, and the fact it can only run certain programs under certain conditions sucks..i tried it, and im not gonna be upgrading for a long ass time...plus, it doesnt work with half of my games!

I have been running VISTA since last January. It has been rock-stable and lightning fast for me. Are you aware of the "compatability mode" option for executable files ? You can check "Windows XP Compatability", etc, for program known to run under that version. It is under the "properties" tab for each program. Of course, drivers might just not be compatable.

i knew of it..and tried it with a lot of different things, with up to date drivers etc...and with half my games it didnt work..it just sucked. IM still die-hard XP until i NEED to update to vista.

Wait.... You're praising them for not keeping repair parts? :D

So what are they going to do with the DMP3 that now has no knobs on it?
