Firestudio, dbx, and bbe (frustration inside)

Try routing the signal to the general purpose outputs, then patch to your outboard gear, then return the signal from the outboard to the FireStudio using the line inputs on the front. In other words, don't bother with the inserts. That should at least get you going.

The send/returns might just be your usual insert on the main output, a lot of mixers are set up that way. If so, the inserts might not appear in software, but just be a hardware insert. I don't know that, but it's a possibility.

Also, what you have been trying to tell this guy I already told him very early on. I said to leave the patchbay out and work up from there.

I have no reason to neg you but I can if you like.

l.) Preamp 1 and 2 Sends: This TRS balanced output will output any analog
signal coming into the respective preamp BEFORE it is converted into digital
format and sent to your computer. This can be used to send the preamp signal out to an external processor (ie; compressor, eq, etc), and back into the respective line input for that channel, where it is then converted and sent to your computer. These outputs are ONLY for channels 1 and 2 respectively.

Are you using insert - type TRS cables on the sends? If not connected properly it might shut off the channel pre-amp.

This is straight up getting out of hand... The term "MOFO" was used to reference MOFO Pro, i just didnt feel like typing thw whole thing. I apologize for that confusion. I also apologize to you albert for getting neg repped. You were just trying to help, and i hope you know i didnt expect that to happen. I have NEVER called anybody names (aside from chess) because i respect you guys (again except chess). Mofo if you like him, good for you, but im not obligated to... He's been a complete nuissance in other threads and didnt want to deal with it. I shouldnt have said "fuck you too" in retrospect, please understand its my frustration with chess and chess alone. I also dont také being called "dick" and "ass maggot" very well, as well as the fact that you were being incredibly condescending jamaican, which is indicitave by your venemous pm's. You're right, i dont know a whole lot about this, which is why i asked you guys. I already did what you said and i was talking about the router INSIDE the firestudio. I just dont know all the fancy terms. If you need more info, ask, and id be happy to provide you with more... I hope this clears a lot up.

You do realize he started it with the "read this, im not going to learn your gear for you". Doesnt seem a little condescending? Also i just told him to lighten up. He then called me a dick and neg repped me. So come again?
 
There's the rub. By trying to exclude Chessrock (whose comments, BTW, I feel are as abrasive and inconsequential as you do) from the get-go you assumed a stance that is not the standard etiquette here. This is a public BBS, and that means all are welcome - even asshats that make your blood boil. It's one thing to take issue with another poster. But it's an entirely other matter to dictate what a poster may or may not do on a BBS that you do not own.

If you want to be in total control, start your own website. I'll be glad to come and get banned from it if you act the same way there.
