Noise Criminal
I hate equipment that gives me that *too much sonic signal* problem...

well i got a BBE482i working with BBE maxcom, its a bit odd they say coz i have too much sonic signal.well i guess its just the matter of problem solving,i use MAXCOM compression system+its maximizer going to the EQ and the thing works like it has THUD+QUAKE,secret is that you have to balance maxcom with your EQ,then if you are satisfied with the result connect it to BBE 482i.just listen to the QUALITY of sound you are producing.BAM!,i love it. overall it have put your system in a higher level, and i personally thankful of AMS for offering such equipments online.

I'm not too sure of this fella's pickyness...

Use "ecc81" tunes in theis unit and yuoll be ok. I recomend either the sovtec or the JJ brand. Every other brand dont offer as much "tube sound". The tubes that come in the behringer are ok if your not picky. IM PICKY!

This guy must really love his SM Pro Audio OC8....

I tested this unit with some full mix mono songs in the insert points of a Beh 2442FX mixer. It sounds reasonably close to an LA2A, which costs about $900 per channel. It has that optical comp trick of making a lot of compression sound transparent and effortless.

especially considering he wrote this earlier in the review...

The unit looked solid except for the ch 1 comp knob, which was deformed. All connectors were of good quality. But, ch 1 didn't pass signal, and none of the eight channel meters lit at all.

I'm still wondering why he didn't send it back
Now here's a gem of wisdom from RINE STONE COWBOY about my favorite piece of equipment, the Behringer XENYX 2442FX Mixer with Effects.... :p

QUALITY:
one of the best out there very dependable and fore factory quality A1 fore the road I expect this product to last fore a life time just the nob's.

FEATURES:
THE best feature is the sound and the look themono THE features I would add would be flanger and biuld in chorus and 3 more stereo out's

EASE OF USE:
IT's very easy to use fore me to use with product's it's easy with my usb unit. IT did'nt take long learn how to use it the manual was okay but can be broken down some

VALUE:
love the price and it's the right price fore musican's with little money I wish you would stay at the price's you're at now but folk's will find out and we'll see

SOUND:
Sound is great for studio and on stage in alive band Sound quality is great on horn's drum's amp's STUDIO Sounding

I don't quite understand what he's saying about the quality - kinda vague there. "themono"??? Somebody should point out that the FX in the name actually means it already has chorus and flanger. And when he uses the thing in a hot room that FX thing will start howling and hissing like a Banshee on crack just like the two 2442FXs that passed through my hands before I demanded a refund. The one good quality thing about this product was in fact it's manual which was easily understood and broken down so well a 9 year old could grok it. hmmmm, could it be that Rine Stone Cowboy is under the age of nine?

and finally, i have to agree about the prices. Now that so many folks know about these products the prices just keep getting lower and that really ticks me off :D

He said he wished the manual could be "broken down some." Give him some credit for not saying "broke down."

ARE YOU READY TO ROCK?!?

FEATURES:
Features? This bass was made to ROCK!!! who needs anything more? Rock is about being loud aggressive and always on 10, your either on on your off. Same with this bass

For Epiphone Nikki Sixx Blackbird Bass. Man this guy is pumped! Maybe it's the on on thing...

Features? Who needs features? You're on, or you're off!!

ROCK!!!!111!1!!!eleven!!

i think the Nikki Sixx Blackbird only has one volume and thats it. he said in an interview that his basses only have a volume control because tone controls will change his sound. crank it to 11 and go....i guess thats kinda on or off

it seems like he's saying the mere presence of those knobs in the circuit take away from the tone. which is pretty sane

Point taken. That occured to me after I posted. In that case I agree. The less stuff in the signal path the better.

They should step it up a notch and take out the volume control completely. I have an old squier strat that I've ripped everything out of, and put a jumbo chrome toggle switch in the hole for each of the pots - on/off for each pickup. Now THAT's rock!
