i moved from the 880 to an akai dps16 which was cooler

i still couldnt keep time

i bought an outboard sampler and started sequencing

the difference can be heard here:

http://www.nowhereradio.com/rollingdbs/singles

mosquito was partially sampled and sequenced

addicted2u was me playing everything myself. and singing of course.

if you go there and it wants you to pick a player just pick the first option it gives you.

its the site everybody here used to use before there was a soundclick

i sampled and sequenced the kick and snare i think

the hats were played real-time to get the hip-hop rhythm

its not hip or even hop music though

i swear theyre worse than cane toads

So why can't I use rechargeable batteries? I've been using them in the Micro-BR. The manual doesn't exactly say not to. But the BR-600 manual says not to.

Do it.......and then you may find out why they say not to! :D :D

don't use rechargeable batteries because they can quit without warning.

The first reason is that rechargeable batteries self-discharge quite quickly.

The second reason (although the first reason should be enough for most of us!) is that rechargeable batteries have a lower voltage. Alkaline batteries have about a 1.5V rating; rechargeable batteries are about 1.2V.

Don't use rechargeable batteries. These are intended for short-term use with strong charge and discharge intervals - not for long-term storage with a comparatively small discharge rate.

Thanks Groovy. I'm not worried about losing any data. I don't see how a lower voltage would possibly harm the unit...? Do you think the unit will be damaged?

I'm a life addict. That includes drugs and everything that exists in the known universe. Man, this little BR-600 is very cool. I just got loaded and laid down some tracks. In my bed, with no wires. Now I can walk around and listen to it, with no wires! These effects come closer than a lot of other effects I have. At least as I listen to it now. Maybe tomorrow it will sound like crap. :)
