Micro-BR or BR-600?

I'm impressed with it. One cool thing about it, is you can turn it off anytime. Like you don’t have to save anything or do some sort of shutdown routine. Just push the on/off button down for a second and viola! Everything is automatically saved, including effects tweaks. When you turn it back on, you’re ready to go from where you left off, if you want. I got one of those cassette adaptors so I can listen to my recordings or mp3 files in my cars. I got a power adaptor also so I don’t have to use batteries when I’m at home. It is a toy, but it’s a serious toy. The tracks are good enough to be used in a serious recording. Garbage in, garbage out. :)
 
Okay, I broke down and bought a BR-600. :mad: Way cool! :D Some people say a pro studio sound will blow these units away. I must be deaf then, because these things sound great to me. :cool: Garbage in, garbage out! :cool:

The little brother of the BR1600CDR. If the 600 is as great as the 1600 albeit a few less features then it will be a great addition. They are a great family of machines. The tune in my signature "Hyperactive Wah Wah" was recorded fully using the BOSS1600, all guitars and bass were recorded using the guitar effects by plugging straight in and the drums were just some patterns on the unit.

Even though I am very mad at you Starzz, :mad: I hope you have fun with your new BOSS BR600. :)
 
Thanks for being mad at me Gorty. I really appreciate the love you put into your hate. :D I do have a VS880EX, but these little portable units are really cool. I listened to your songs before. I'll have to go back and listen to the wah-wah song again. I composed a song about 15 years ago named "The Wah Wah Song" (aka Shot Down) Just 4 tracks of a Moog Opus 3. I never got around to recording the lyrics. Maybe someday. :o
 
Ya, that sounds great (your recording). I guess the sample and bit rates are about the same for all those BR units. I think my VS is a little higher, but getting the tracks from the VS to a computer is sort of a drag. I just want to be able to use the occasional track that might happen on the BR for a starter track in Sonar, and moving the tracks over is so much less hassle than the VS. :) Roland lied. Just before I bought the VS they said in their magazine that there would be an easy way to transfer files to a computer. They never developed it, and they never recalled the artical that mentioned it. :o
 
i used to record on a vs880ex. i thought i was the cats pajamas.

i had my drumset and my bass and my keyboard and my guitars and and and

i had to start sequencing cause i cant keep time very well :(
 
Hey! My manual says don't use rechargeable batteries with the BR-600! What's up with that!? :confused: :eek: :mad:
