I apologize if this is in the wrong forum. I'm new here.
My current setup is as follows:
Presonus Studio One 3 Artist DAW
Presonus Audiobox 44VSL Mic Interface
4 Cobalt Co7 Cardioid Mics
I record stereo tracks, so at the moment, I can only record two people at once.
I am looking to upgrade to a more semi-pro type setup. I'd like to get some rack units of some kind, because I really like the feel of hardware more that using plugins and such. I was looking to get the Presonus Quantum 2626 Interface, since it has 8 inputs and can be expanded as well. I was also planning to get a 8-channel headphone amp, as well as the Behringer X-Touch Universal Control Surface.
What mics should I get?
What rack units should I also get for mixing purposes? I play bluegrass, and would like to gain a quality of sound similar to that achieved by the Lonesome River Band, Joe Mullins, The Del McCoury Band, etc.
My budget is approximately $3000, but I could go over that a little.
Any other suggestions about things I've already picked out are welcome.
