Any suggestions about recording bass? I would prefer to go straight in . . . is this cool? do you put effects on bass guitar or just clean? i figure add some compression, just not sure about reverb and such thanks

OK, i save room if i only record in one channel How do I mix, say, vocals, in stereo if it is only recorded in the left channel? what do you guys do?

So, anyone recording with digital drums? our sound is a bit quarky(sp?) so I think we might be able to get away with it a bit more than a serious band. Anyone have any recordings that they have done with digital drums? I am looking into some rolands (the cheaper ones) td 6 or something share...

another idea for a cheap bass trap in a tracking room: take a cardboard box and stuff it tight with pink stuff and wrap it in cloth? would this work (I know . . . 703 etc.... is better), but would it work some? It just seems so hard to come by this 703, rockwool, mineral wool, roxul etc...
