Has the best preamps of all the others (layla,mona ard,didgi ect) and converters are just as good or better than most. Comes with cubasis, could upgrade to vst32 for cheapier than you could buy it from the store. This s what I hear anyway. What do you hear?

Has anyone used the sc8820 or the sc8850 sound canvas by roland. They don't sell these at music stores. You have to go to the Edirol section of their website to purchase. They hook up to your USB port, runs off your pc power. It seems to have alot more instuments in these modules then the ones...

For my midi looking for a good sound module.Looking at the Roland JV 1010 and the EMU Proteus 2000.I want good Piano and Drums.Don't know how many drums come with these.The proteus is about $300.00 more,But is it worth it? Don't really want to spend more than $700.00.

Having a DAW system built just for recording.Audio and Midi will be used. I was leaning toward the cakewalk pro suite but I was told that the cubase has 4 effects on each track which dosen't tax the cpu that much,where cakewalk you would need to use one of their plugins(which come with pro suite...
