Has anyone used the sc8820 or the sc8850 sound canvas by roland. They don't sell these at music stores. You have to go to the Edirol section of their website to purchase. They hook up to your USB port, runs off your pc power. It seems to have alot more instuments in these modules then the ones in the music stores. I Was going to purchase the proetus 2000 but I stumbled upon these modules. Lots of drums also. The sc8820 is $448.00, and thats less than their JV 1010 module, or about the same. But it seems to offer alot more. The sc8850 is 128 note poly. with 32 parts multi timberal.Dont know how much this is about $1200.00 approx. Anyone?

I have the SC8850 and am pretty happy with it. I think I paid about 800 bucks for it. To me it sounds great, but I'm not that experienced, so I couldn't tell you how it sounds compared to something else. I have it hooked up to my UA100. to me, the sounds are very realistic, but like I said, I don't have much to compare it with.
