So, I was out in Kansas over the weekend, and the *highlight* of my trip was a visit to the Musicians Friend main distribution center, which has an outlet store in it. Wow, I thought.....this is gonna be a great chance to score some amazing deals on some gear, minor blems, overstocks, etc...

Just curious, what's the norm for cover band demos these days? Are bands wanting a studio production, a one take/one room keepin it real recording, or somewhere in between? What do the club owners expect?

Anyone know of a standalone (not VST) software chorder that would be good for live use with my newly aquired Roland PK-5 midi pedalboard? I know several sequencers have this feature, but I'm looking for a simple program more suited for live use.

SSL is coming out with Duende, a new DSP unit and plugins, similar to TC-Powercore and UAD in concept. Mac only initially, PC support will follow. Also up the road is TC-PowerCore and UAD-1 compatability. I'm pretty excited about this for my PowerCore card...
