zvex amps... this thing is tiny

I had one. Wish I didn't sell it. It sounds great. I sold it to get the last few shekels for a THD Bivalve. I ran it through an old 70s Marshall 4x12...bit of a one trick pony...but what a trick ! Nathan

Vintage Marshall 4x12 cab value (eu)

Presuming I'm selling locally...shipping is not really an option. Which are the more desirable speakers from this era ? Anybody ? Nathan

Vintage Marshall 4x12 cab value (eu)

Putting a Marshall 4x12 up on eBay along with some other stuff soon, haven't been using it much lately, and I need a KSP8. I know it's an early seventies cab, I remember working it out from the serial number when I picked it up years ago. It's quite dark sounding, but sounds really great with...

    Tube Amp Repair/Mod in Ireland/UK ???

I've got a newish Fender Twin RI...the one with the 1/4 power switch and the two-channels, verb and tremolo. It has been pretty abused as my main gigging amp, and gave out last year. Crackles, rattles, verb stopped working, and weird phasey low-end (or lack of it). Gave it in local shop, and...

Thinline Tele '72 RI FS/T with acoustic

Not mine, pulled photo of google. Same finish/colour though. Very good condition, one tuning head (high E) slightly bent. Set up for 11's at the minute. Nice sounding tele, the most resonant sounding acoustically in the shop where I tried about ten of them. I am open to cash offers, but what I...

Gotta shift some stuff to cover freight and import tax on my new console.... Fender 72 Reissue Thinline Telecastor (One slightly bent tuning head on high E, otherwise v. good condition. Maple neck, plays v. nice, hand picked by me as best sounding Thinline out of about tenish from local shop)...

    Micing the hats

$80...? Really depend what sound you're going for. If you take some time with placement, a Behringer ECM8000 (or whatever that omni they make is called) can do wonders. Actually, I've always found mic placement for hats a bit of a headache. I have had more luck with carefully placed dynamics...

    TC Electronic Powercore Compact Firewire

PM'd You ! Incidently, the reason I'm too keen on using it in my studio, is that I don't want another firewire device attached to my DAW as I'm using a Fireface800 already. Also I already have to UAD-1's and a KSP8, so the money would be better put towards my next mic purchase. Make me an...

    TC Electronic Powercore Compact Firewire

Got it recently to use with a laptop for some location work. Back in the studio now for the forseeable future so this goes. Boxed with manual and latest drivers on cd-r. Make me an offer ? I live in Ireland, but I got this reasonably cheap, so I should be able to beat most U.S. eBay...

    The MS process

It shouldn't have that effect...An M/S decoder need two sources to work, I don't know how an M/S simulator could work with one mono source... Does it have the same effect when you listen in mono ?
