Mics being out of phase is bad. Boosting too much on the EQ will give you lots of noise. Flutter echoes are intolerable. But is there any place where people new to recording can hear examples of most of these common mistakes?

Everytime I export a stereo mix to my Mac from my DP-01FX, I notice the level of the song is pretty low. I run it through Audacity and normalize it but it doesn't make huge improvements. Is there a way to boost the final level of the song?
