What do you all use? I've historically used "ultra lights" - .10s, but I've been trying out "lights" - .11s - but they play "harder", but may record more "throaty." Its hard to tell without side by side comps. Any preferences and why? I am interested in your opinions. PEACE

I think I've made my mind up, but I thought I'd ask those with more experience (I have no local guru) than I. I just received a laptop from work with no firewire input. I thought I would just get the Echo Indigo IO CardBus and use my Behringer ub802, going line in (I never purchased a pci card)...

After mixing down to two track and cutting off the dead noise beforehand, I get a noticable "blip" at the cut. Is this comon or a "sound" I'm unaware of in the cut. Let me know if you've had similar results and how you've dealt with them. Thanks in advance
