well, it's definitely perfect for rock synthesizer sounds... it's going to take some time untill you've gotten to the bottom of it's capabilities though, so don't be dissapointed if you can't get the right sound in the beginning... once you've got the grips on it, it should kick ass...

well, i own a novation supernova and can definitely vouch for the novation synthesizer architechture... it's so much more rich than you'd think... one of my favorite features are the sync oscillators. they rock hard and can create insane sounds and melodies within notes and shit... very cool

yeah. that's a great buy. probably even a better buy than an akai when i think about it...

i though i already told you that the lumatron compressor beats the shit out of your milk machine... maybe lumatron is named something else in your country like other big brand names? why are you wasting your time with the milk man when you can get a much better compressor from lumatron?

No, seriously walters... you should get yourself a lumatron compressor. they are probably the best product on the marked, and they come much cheaper than more expensive products... i'm not shitting you... if you can't get *that* sound with a lumatron compressor, you shouldn't be making music...

you are recording on the output of your soundcard, not the input. if you have a low level soundcard, this is fixed in the advanced tap of the volume control or in the control panel i presume...

get an old emu or roland board or sound module...

that's a toughie... the lesson is: never buy a mono part synth unless you already have a multipart... i'd get the virus first, or you'll be stuck in endless tracking.

well, i would find some really, really good plugins and consider buying them... personally i have plenty of power in halion 2 and the cheap tau machines... my supernova does the rest..

i suggest getting an older Access Virus cheap. Their sound is very edgy and digital. If you want something that can do both, a Waldorf might be the answer.
