Hey guys I haven't been here in a while since I've gravitated to Gearslutz recently. I have my very first pair of speakers that I'm trying to move. They are in near mint condition and are great for a first set of speakers. Very loud with tons of features.
Please note these are NOT the BX8a...
So let me say that I am a weekend warrior with recording so I just know the very basics. My question is this, when I wrote a couple of riffs that I liked on synths, I couldn't perfectly match up the drums with the riff. When I got the drums close, I would then re-record the riff, but I really...
I just got a CME keyboard and have been playing with it for a few days now. I've now ran across a very easy question which I'm sure anyone can help me with.
I played a little riff on the keyboard and was looking to record an octave of it with a different soft synth. So I just moved all the...

Shure sm58 - The grill is dented from a drop the very first day I bought this. Still works great and besides the cosmetics, is nothing wrong with it.
$60 shipped.
Apex 420 Condenser mic w/ shock mount - Mic is in great condition, no wear and tear. Liked it on acoustic guitar.

On Gearslutz, they were having a mix contest for a metal song on the site. Now I'm just starting out so I really have no desire to post my results, but I definitely thought this would be great practice. So far I've just panned instruments where I thought they sounded good, and adjusted levels...
I really love classical guitar songs and I finally decided I'm going to get away every now and then from the distorted metal riffs, so anyone know of a good place to get some good classical tabs?
So everyone hates when the music is mega squished, so it got me wondering about this. When you copy and paste a track, it makes the loudness of that track a little bit louder. Why could you not do this a bunch of times on the 2-buss and have it louder in general?
I wouldn't think it would...
I have been a guitar player for over 10 years and finally want to learn another instrument. Since a piano is way too expensive for me, I have decided to go the keyboard route. Now I only need a midi keyboard since I plan on using the sounds from Sampletank/Reason/etc...
So my question is...
Being that I just started out recording and am on a measly teacher salary I need to pick up gear used to save me some bucks. I check here, digidesign, and on harmony central.
I was just wondering if anyone knows of any other places to pick up some used gear?
If you guys have seen my other post, you know the deal. I just need some money to fund a pair of mics. If you want to buy more than 5 CDs at a time from me, we can probably take a little bit of money off (depending on the CDs). Please PM or email me at edsucka@hotmail.com if you have any...
So I'm almost ready to start recording full scale bands but I still have one problem. I will be recording in my basement of my house. I have a room inside a room for the drums, and it is definitely possible to play and not disturb the people in the house. However, I like to record bands...
I first want to say that if this is against this forum's policy, then please remove this post. I have my basic gear but I do not have any good cymbal mics. I have my eyes on the Josephsons but do not have the cash. So I am looking to sell enough of my personnel collection to buy these. So...
