Hi there fella's!
I just installed Cubase 5.1 and though I can come to terms with the basics well enough, I wonder if y'all have any suggestions on a good book, that helps me explore the more advanced features this program has...
Do any of you have experience with the books currently...
Hey y'all. I'm looking into the Fender Nashville Power Tele... Looks like a sweet guitar! (mex made)
I wonder if any of you have ever played it? I'm about to (this weekend) but would like to hear from those of you who've heard and played it. Some pointers on what to look out for / be beware of...
I am planning to sell my Ibanez RG-270 (JB) guitar. Excellent condition, other than some belt scratches on the backside.
How much do y'all reckon I should ask for it? I have absolutely no idea...
Thanx
Hi guys...
Having a little problems understanding some of the posts in these forums...
2 questions:
What is 'scrubbing'
And what does 'FOH' stand for?
I'm Dutch. Sue me. :)
The Peavey KB 100 amp is supposedly meant for keyboard amplification but apparently it's good with acoustic guitars too. It has a 15" speaker and a horn tweeter.
I can get it cheap (haven't tried it out yet) and wonder what the general opinion is on this amp...
I'll go and check it out in a...
Hey there!
Just wondering about your thoughts on the following:
When I connect the line out of my soundcard (SB AWE 32... ancient model - huge card that runs front to back through the computer casing) to 2 inputs on my fostex FD-8 hard disk recorder I hear a pretty loud HUMMING sound.

Hey guys (and possibly some girls too)
I wonder how on some recordings the acoustic guitars sound so tight and bright. I assume it has to do with (lots of) compression, but I haven't been able to find that 'ringing' sound you often hear in Boston's recordings, such as the well known "Amanda" or...
Hi there! Since English is not my native tongue I'd like to ask you all a probably very simple and stupid question.
Reading articles and manuals I often come across the abbreviation LFO.
What does this stand for and what does it mean?
THanx from a dutch illitterate..
I remember reading somewhere that one should use 'midi' cables instead of standard DIN cables.
I wonder what difference it makes. As far as I know Midi just uses 2 pins less. So why not use standard DIN cables? Do standard DIN cables cause latency? Do the remaining 2 pins cause problems?
Or...
And by that I mean;
What does it do to my signal? I own a Marshall JMP-1 pre-amp which has Speaker Emulated outputs. The signal is totally usable, so no comment there, but I wonder what exactly it is the JMP-1 or any ol' other emulator does to the signal.
Thanx
I am still not sure.... I'm uncertain as to which studio monitors to buy. I like the sound of these three (and the budget...)
Alesis Monitor One /w RA150 amp
Alesis Monitor One MkII /w RA150 amp
Spirit Absolute 2 /w similar amp or RA150
Do any of you have experience with any of these monitors...
