S slkeen New member Mar 6, 2002 #2 Should be no problem, just make sure the speed is the same. I have some old 4 track master tapes from the 80s, recorded on a Tascam 246, and I can play them on all of the newer Tascam 4 tracks. Make sure you use the same settings - DBX, tape speed.

A Reel Person It's Too Funky in Here!!! Mar 6, 2002 #4 There might be slight pitch differences between machines,... and [worst case] possibly slight head alignment differences. If possible, record an A/440/ 0VU test signal to each tape, to match pitch and compare output differences on both machines.
