Hey there...
So I broke down and FINALLY bought Pro Tools Industry Standard. It is not compatible with my firewire Presonus Quantum interface -- does not recognize it.
At any rate, I've been using Sonar (ahem, "Cakewalk by Bandlab") for at least a decade, so I do all of my recording with that which I'm very familiar with and IS compatible with my interface. I would only be using Pro Tools for mixing and mastering my and other people's music.
My question is: what is the cheapest thing I can get (interface/soundcard) that is at least 24-bit/96khz that will be recognized by Pro Tools and do a decent job with mixing/mastering?
Thanks in advance! Oh yeah, it's a PC.
