Simple Software to Mixdown to?

I am a happy user of a DMT 8vl. It is more than adequate for recording Violin and Mandolin.....or so far! I have just purchased a Focusrite Digital Interface so that I can mix down to my computer (I never got around to buying a DAT machine). The Digital Interface came with Ableton Live Lite.
A fine program but so complicated as all I want to do is mix my stereo outs to an wav file. I was curious as to what other users use...Is there an easier program to navigate...?
Thanks in advance :) I might mention I am not a computer dummy but suffer from some eyesight issues and the DAW screen is a little overwhelming :(

Audacity is a freebe and quite good for mixing. PC based but the screens are fairly clear. May be worth a try.

Audacity would be a cool soft!
But for a more suitable program, with a lot more of possibilities I would advise Mixcraft 5.
A relatively cheap DAW, and for sure user friendly.
