Zoom R8

Just bought the new Zoom R8. So far it looks, "feels" and sounds very good. But I find it a bit difficult to understand the User Manual on a few points, e.g. the processing of tracks and the use of preset drum sounds. Is there anybody out there who might have a clue (or two)?

The zoom H4n hasn't got built in drums neither! I'm thinking conspiracy here.

Maybe they didn't have room in there? Even a small kit takes up quite a bit of space.
