I have a secret...........
I see dead,da oh sorry.
I have cut off my pod, it hurt but it had to go, so im podless...
I got a Digitech RP3.
U happy now?
The Holy Grail of Multi Effects Pedals....
I FOUND IT!!!!!! A Zoom GFX 8.
I returned a J station to get this thing. This pedal blows me away with its versatility. I tried out the Pod,Jstation,AX1000, GT3 and GT5, and a few others I don't even remember now. This effects processor just simply blew me away.
i have the rp3 too, i'm ashamed to say it though. i'm trying to get rid of it now that i have the POD...i hate how it drops out when changing to a different effect...i have a wah now too and that's all it was good for, so how much is that GFX 8? What does it have??
I have tried a multitude of Zoom effects. They have a lot of appeal because their prices appear too good to be true. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for here. I have yet to hear anything made by zoom that sounded remotely acceptable.
The GFX8 is not in the class of the Zoom 505 and the such. It lists for around $378.00
I paid about $280 for mine. I could go on for quite a while about what it has but to keep it short I will say this. I did an unbelievable amount of research on multi effect consoles/pedals and I believe I've play thru everything on the market. To me the GFX8 is the most versitle, best sounding, easiest to edit board I found. And yes I tried the Pod and actually owned a J Station for 5 Days. Try one!!
It occured to me that maybe I should clarify my previous post. In singing the praises of the GFX 8 I should make it clear that I play Metal. If you aren't into that genre of music(I couldn't imagine) then this pedal would be overkill. More than half of the effects and most of the amp simulations are tailor made for Rock and Metal.
