I took my guitar into a music shop and tried it out. I didn't really care for the sounds I got out of it. I will say that I'm not real big on effects for acoustic guitars anyway. I thought I might want to use some every once in awhile but I didn't find anything suitable during my search. I did find some things better than the zoom pedal though but don't recall what they were off the top of my head.
 
Anyone had any experience with this? How are the effects? Would this be suitable to use as a preamp to send Ac/Elec guitar to soundcard?
 
Thanks Cliff. What type of music do you generally play? I was interested in its electric guitar effect only because I like to play some Buddy Holly and other old rock and roll. Most of my stuff is James Taylor style.

My friend has a zoom box,I don't know what one but I believe he paid around 100.00 I think its great,its quiet, has a boatload of sounds and is very portable.I play bass and will get that version
