I have successfully recorded my band, during practice. Now I have the raw recording at home and want to give it some spice. I've selected a mic effect for the vox. It sounds great.
Here's the question......Now that I have the effect I want, how do I keep it and put another effect, let's say a mastering effect, on another track without bouncing?

I'm about to pull my hair out. Thanks in advance for the help

you don't. You have to bounce it with the effect to use an effect on another track. I had this same problem and pulled my hair and then was told the same thing, so now I just bounce the track with the effect, which sucks because you def. lose something when you do it.

Loose defintion? HUH!?

I've done tons of bouces with my zoom and didnt loose defition or clarity how are you doing this that it sounds bad TheCoroner?

spiverod, there is diferent ways to do things with the effects on the MRS's.

Are you using an insert or send return effect?

With the inserts you can record or print the effect when recording.
Also you can dry record and monitor thru your effects and add them later(In the manual).

BUT! The send return has to be bounced in order to be printed or used multipul times. but it can be used on multipul tracks too and mixed at the mixed down as well.

You can always bounce to a virtual track as well and save the original if you need it.

Knowing what each type does and how its routed is the key.

With vocals everything sounds good and we always bounce to a v-take, but it seems with guitar it's like we lose a little something,I didn't say definition but it maybe adds a little noise I think. I guess my statement was a little general and in know way am I an expert.Maybe(probably) I am doing something wrong, I wish I knew what it was!!!!
