Ziv - 1099

Very unique, I'm diggin' it. The intro actually reminded me of a song I started working on today, but then it went off in a totally different direction and started reminding me of Shpongle. If you haven't heard them, check them out. Anyway, I'm listening on headphones but it sounds pretty good. Nice spaciousness and it holds interest as it changes throughout. Ends a bit abruptly though.
 
you have some interesting stuff going on there. i like that it detours from the typical, especially those pitch warbled notes, and the simplicity of it. the style of the song, whatever you call the style, is kind of minimalist (plenty of space to work with there), and i think that less heavy compression across the instruments would better serve it.
 
Pretty interesting stuff, very well recorded and mixed. Only thing I found annoying were the bird whistles..:D. And the compression is pumping hard at times, but maybe that's what you were after. Good work.
 
I liked the sense of the birds moving back and forth. I could have gone for a little less of it.

Not sure what that one percussion instrument was, but dang it was clear as hell.

Musically not my cup of tea, but nice recording.
 
that was.......different. I wasn't crazy about it, but neither did I dislike it. It was just a little too random/spastic for my tastes I guess. I liked the bird in the beginning....the odd crackling sounds were slightly annoying. I enjoyed the acoustic guitar section, but all the different seemingly unconnected things going on seemed to be competing with each other. (I listened to some of your other tracks, you have a nice voice).
 
I love it when I hear something from someone on this site that is unlike anything I'd ever write/record--but still strikes me as well done and quite impressive.

This is one of those. I'm listening, thinking those sounds, those textures, would never come out of me. And I'm a bit jealous. It's well recorded, well mixed, and musically, it flows quite well.

Yup, this is crystal clear and the panning is great. Plenty of depth and some unique sounds thrown in as well. A little on the sparse side - seemed to be plenty of room for maybe one or two more things in there at times, but works pretty well as is. Good job man.

the compression is too hard i guess
and if id do it again id probably change a few things
but i think thats what makes it different
