I have a vs 1880 and by growing my recording task i need to back up data.as it has been described in the user's manual we should use scsi hard drives or zip drive or DAT .in the zip drive we are limited to 100 MB space and for scsi in the manual it has been limited to 16 GB ,can any body tell me a cheaper way for back up or using scsi'es with more capacity .

SCSI drives

I have a VS880,and I use the Orb external SCSI by Castlewood. It only retails for $199,and comes with a 2.2 gig
disc!I got my online for about $150,and the replacement discs are only about $30.It works very well, and Roland endorses using this drive.

ORB is a good deal. I have one also.
Another thing to consider is just keep buying new large (12-16 GB) hard drives. They are so inexpensive now, that this is a valid option.
