I use it on my AMD64 too. it's the quietest part in my rig of all "quiet PC" components. It's a bit of a pain to install with an ASUS mobo though, since you have to use their custom backplate. No biggie though, just heat the old one on the mobo with a hair dryer for a couple minutes and use a plastic spoon or credit card to pry it off.
